My Gear and Equipment
I get asked so often: “What type of equipment do you use?” I wanted to have a page to share my goods! Make sure to keep in mind, that every photographer is different, so what I have may not be what you need or desire. Let me start with my cameras.

I shoot NIKON. If you have been in the industry a bit, you know there are Nikon lovers and Canon lovers all around this world. We have a Nikon D800, D500 and D7200. My choice out of the three for work is my D500. When I'm photographing 35 to 45 kids per day, it has to be fast for me. The focus on this camera is right on! The jewel the D800 is used at our wedding ceremonies!

Tamron 85mm https://amzn.to/3BzS3dP
85mm is pretty tight, so you must have ample room to move back. This provides the PRETTIEST bokeh images, while allowing your focus to be nice and crisp.

Tamron 70-200mm G2 https://amzn.to/3BcgInk
I primarily use this for ceremony shots, but it also makes for great portraits – if you want to step back from your clients and capture from afar. You can also zoom in and when doing so the lens compression creates BEAUTIFUL Bokeh.

Tamron 150-600mm G2 https://amzn.to/3B82sMp
Stephane uses for his sports and wildlife photo sessions. Even though it is a heavy lens; it's great for the reach and flexibility to capture an image and is super sharp!

Nikon 50mm 1.8 https://amzn.to/3QBzOsY
50mm is a great distance for shots – indoor and outdoor.

Sigma 24-105mm https://amzn.to/3RUiZKI
This is the lens I use daily for work! It's a great all around lens used for indoor and outdoor. It is super sharp for my preschool images!

Sigma 18-35mm https://amzn.to/3L6MK8Q
This is great for tight spots and great for landscape at ceremonies.

Pelican Cases https://amzn.to/3BBQSea
Our protection for the camera and lens are all safe in our three Pelican cases. These absolute sturdy and strong cases are a must for traveling and work!

Fovitec StudioPRO All in One Roller Bag
We have two of these for my studio equipment for work!

My on/off camera lighting: https://amzn.to/3RFLU5v

Godox Flash System (including the triggers) and Nikon Speedlight
These are great flashes to enhance images at a reception, or if you want to get creative with portraits – outdoors and indoor! I have taken a couple of courses, to learn how to use this guy with more creativity, in manual mode and how to create more dramatic images.

Octagonal Softbox with stand and flashmount which I use primarily as my setup for the preschools.

Flashpoint XPLOR 600 HSS TTL Battery-Powered Monolight with Built-in R2 2.4GHz Radio Remote Sytems and R2 Transmitter
This is our off camera lighting system used at ceremony and outdoor photo session! This is great for capturing the moments when we need more than 2 flashes! The power on this system is the equivalent of 12 regular flashes together! It is perfect for the night wedding shots.

Magbeam Kit
This is perfect for Stephane's wildlife photography for the extra reach on his flash! Which, I love to "borrow" gadgets from him to use for my portrait sessions as well.

The Perfect Square Backdrop Stand
This is my setup for my preschool with the different backdrops for Spring, Fall and Holiday sessions!

Camera Tripods
We have an Aluminum Tripod (This one is heavier and I keep it at my studio) and Portable Caron Fiber Tripod/Monopod (This one is light and easy to carry along).

Movo GH800 Carbon Fiber Professional Gimbal Tripod Head
It's used on the tripods to have quick access to vertical and horizontal shots! The 360 degree panning base and swinging arm, allows a full range of motion ideal for covering sporting events, catching birds in flight, or any other fast moving subjects.

Reflector
I always have a reflector attached to my backpack, to keep with me on ALL shoots – whether I need it for reflecting or blocking light… they always come in handy. I really like mine, it’s four sided with a diffuser too – similar to this

Super-Scoop 3
Flash Modifier - I love this when I am shooting one on one outdoors! It's great for that extra light that I need to softens shadows and enhances the skin tones!

Tethering Cable
Tethered photography is the process of connecting your camera to a computer, tablet, or even a smartphone using either a cable or wireless app. After a successful connection between the devices, any new image captured by the camera is then passed directly to the computer and saved in a pre-designated folder.
